SAS: Who Dares Wins star Bianca Gascoigne’s place on the show was left hanging in the balance after she suffered a major issue at the airport.

The reality star, 36, was reduced to tears as problems with her visa stopped her travelling from Australia to New Zealand where the show is being filmed.

An insider said: “Bianca was in tears as she attempted to sort out the issue, which is believed to be linked to a former drink driving charge.

“After last minute negotiations, Bianca managed to get her documentation approved and Channel 4 has allowed her a late arrival into quarantine.

“She is due to land today in New Zealand to join celebs including John Barrowman and Georgia Harrison in preparing for the gruelling show.”

Mum-of-one Bianca will be hoping to match the success of her last outing on TV when she placed second on the Italian version of Strictly in December 2021.

Her brother Regan won Dancing On Ice months later, adding to the family’s reality TV pedigree.

This year’s Celebrity SAS line-up looks the best yet with an array of stars with something to prove.

The latest to be announced is former Olympic boxer Anthony Ogogo.

Anthony, 34, won bronze in boxing at the London 2012 Olympics but was stuck with a career-ending injury to his eye in 2016, forcing him to later take early retirement.

A TV insider told us: “Anthony has been through a lot of adversity in recent years, including countless operations on his eye, so he is used to facing extreme challenges.

“He is a very positive guy and he will throw himself into this endurance test like he does everything else. Expect him to go very far as he is no quitter.”

Anthony, who was registered blind due to loss of sight in his left eye, took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2015, during which he was partnered with Oti Mabuse.

Last week we told how shamed actor John Barrowman had signed up for the show.

John, 56, is a household name on British TV thanks to his long career in show business.

But in May 2021, he came under fire following allegations of sexual misconduct.

Anthony and John will be joined by stars including Boris Johnson’s sister Rachel, Love Island star Ovie Soko and Towie’s Pete Wicks who was forced to pull out last year after a nasty accident during filming.
